--> I find unique images more appealing, and like to look at images that are like puzzles that are meant to be solved, and makes one think. Images that are creative and represent something that is outside of what one usually sees in the real world, or images that take normal objects and put them under a different perspective are more interesting to me. I also have a great love for nature, especially mountains and the ocean.

--> I like to look at images that take me inside on an adventure that I can relate to; images that contain fantasy creatures, animals, music, snow, and nature scenery. These are the things that I enjoy doing in my life, and these subjects can influence my perspective on images. If I know the places that are portrayed in the pictures, I will feel more familiar with the scene, and my perspective would be different than one that comes from an image with an unfamiliar subject/scene.

--> A particular image that stays in my mind is a majestic rising bridge at a night in St. Petersburg. This family trip was unforgettable, and all the images that we took in that city were truly spectacular; we had pictures of numerous cathedrals and churches, palaces, canals and city life. I personally think that St. Petersburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Sadly, our camera was stolen while I was there with my family, and I remember the sorrow at losing all the beautiful images and memories. The camera was quite expensive too, but losing the images was more devastating.

--> By taking this course I hope to learn how to improve my photo taking skills and expand my sources of inspiration. I hope that this course makes me use my camera more often and gives me incentive to go out on photo walks and take many memorable photos. I hope to learn about proper picture taking technique and find my own style of photography.
